| Bio: | Desperation drives my life. It was desperation to get away from my family that brought me to Arizona. Except for the heat I really like it here. It was desperation for work, any work that drove me to apply for a job at a group home for developmentally disabled adults. Turns out, I'm very good at it and love my work.
I've been known to make furniture out of cardboard - again with the desperation, and hey, what else was I gonna do with all those moving boxes.
There are two cats, Harvey and Samathea, who let me feed them, pet them and take them to the veterinarian. As there is a pride of feral cats living under my porch, who are quite willing to permit me the privilege of feeding them, the 'petting them and taking to the vet" is an important distinction as to which cats truly qualify as mine.
I have killed a scorpion with my bare hand, fallen off the face of a cliff, and walked across the top of a waterfall. But don't be deceived - I'm not an adventurous person.
Edited to Add: Since opening this journal, I have moved to Minnesota, where I'm enjoying complaining about the cold to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) dcjensen, who gallantly starts my car to warm it up if he's home when it is time for me to leave for work. |
